Mickey's desperate plea for someone to rescue him before euthanasia

Mickey is shy and uncertain; he needs a low key home where his confidence can be built and help him become a great canine citizen.
Facebook Jyl Chickowski

Meet Mickey, who has an incredible zest for life, a clean bill of health, and gets along with other dogs and cats, yet he is listed to be euthanized at Bryan Animal Center in Texas because of overcrowding.

The history of this 18-month-old gray and white pit bull mix is sketchy, but someone in his past cruelly cut his ears off; perhaps to prepare him for the dog fighting ring. No one is quite sure of his previous owner, except Mickey does show a fear of men.

Sadly, for personal reasons, Mickey's foster home has returned him to the shelter, and he only has days - if that- before he is destroyed.

According to volunteers, Mickey would do best in a quiet home. He is shy and uncertain and needs to gain confidence. An easygoing dog buddy might be the perfect match to help Mickey adjust to his new life.

This beautiful dog is already neutered, is up-to-date on all vaccinations, is heart worm negative, and is on preventative flea and tick control. All he needs is patience and love.
