L'Wren Scott, longtime girlfriend of Mick Jagger, has been found dead in her Manhattan apartment.

According to an article posted March 17 at Pollstar.com, the 49-year-old fashion designer and celebrity stylist was found by her assistant hanging from a doorknob at 10 a.m. of March 17 of a possible suicide.

Law enforcement discovered no note and there was no sign of foul play.

Jagger, who wrapped up a tour of Asia with The Rolling Stones this weekend and was bound for Australia to begin the band's tour of Australia, scheduled for March 17 in Perth, was "completely shocked and devastated by the news.”

The Stones frontman had been dating the 6-foot-3 Utah-born beauty since 2001 and was regularly seen with Scott at numerous high profile events.

Scott became a highly influential celebrity stylist and her patrons included: Sarah Jessica Parker, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz and Amy Adams, who have all worn Scott's dresses to the Academy Awards.

Last month, Scott cancelled her London Fashion Week show, due to reported production delays while Jagger had left the country to begin The Stones tour, which began on Feb. 21 in Abu Dhabi.
