Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger, 70, is going to be a great-grandfather. His granddaughter Assisi Jackson and her boyfriend Alex (a chef she began dating in 2012) are going to become parents, according to various media outlets (including Hello! magazine) that reported the news on Sept. 21, 2013. Jackson, 21, is reportedly due to give birth in early 2014.
Jagger has not yet made any public comments about becoming a great-grandfather.
Assisi and her 17-year-old sister Amba are the daughters of 42-year-old Jade Jagger, who is Mick's only child with his first wife, Bianca. Assisi and Amba's father is artist Piers Jackson, who was Jade Jagger's boyfriend from 1990 to 1999.
Mick has six other children from other relationships. His eldest child is daughter Karis (born in 1970) from his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Marsha Hunt. Mick has four children with his ex-partner Jerry Hall: daughters Elizabeth (born in 1984), son James (born in 1985), Georgia May (born in 1992) and Gabriel (born in 1997). Mick's youngest child is son Lucas, who was born in 1999 from a brief affair that Mick had with former model Luciana Morad.
Mick became a grandfather at the age of 50 on July 2, 1992, when Assisi was born.
Settling down at a young age has also been on the mind of Mick's granddaughter Amba, who told the media in 2012 that she and her 18-year-old live-in boyfriend, Frankie Legrange, will be getting married. (The couple is not officially engaged though.)
