A Michigan SUV crash happened early Friday when the driver lost control of the vehicle and spun onto the path of an oncoming pickup truck. Six women were inside the SUV and three men were in the pickup.
ABC News reports Jan. 31 that four of the six women inside the sports utility vehicle were killed and the other five injured. The Michigan SUV crash happened at 6 a.m. in Casnovia Township, about 20 miles from Grand Rapids.
The dead victims are: Angelica Magana-Ceja, 45; Erika Ceja, 35; Teresa Alvarez, 35; and Jessica Magana, 23.
The SUV's driver -- Perla Magana, 26 -- and passenger -- Leticia Ceja, 39 -- were in stable condition.
As for the three men from the pickup truck, they were treated for minor injuries. They are identified as Eric Werkema, 31; Jose Hernandez, 28; and Ross Sterk, 35.
It is not known what caused the Michigan SUV crash, but there were some icy and slipper spots on the road.
