Michigan student selling ad space on grad cap to help pay for student loans

Alex Benza is graduating from the University of Michigan with quite a bit of debt -- as most college students can relate to. Benza has decided, however, to make some money off of his upcoming graduation -- and it has nothing to do with a swanky party that would have family members writing him checks. Instead, Benza is selling ad space... on his graduation cap.

Benza is selling advertisers 1" squares on his cap and he hopes that by selling them, he will be able to get rid of the $30,000 in debt he's accumulated in student loans over the past few years of college. He is hoping to sell 100 squares for $300 a piece to make the money that he needs to live his life without student loans.

Alex Benza is on GoGetFunding.com and while the money is barely trickling in, he hopes that by May, he's got a lot more ads to put on his graduation cap. Check out the video above for more.
