Sarah 'Piranha' Goodlaxson created a Facebook fan page on Jan. 4 to ease her parent's concerns about the dangers of MMA fighting.
Goodlaxson, 23, is one of the fastest-rising atomweights in female MMA, as she's riding a two-fight win streak over high-ranking contenders.
MMA fans who wish to "like" her new Facebook fan page can do so by clicking here.
"Piranha" stopped Sam Winkler via rear-naked choke at the East Peoria Throwdown event on May 28, 2011, and she followed up that performance with a submission victory over Myndi Collins at UFL - March Madness in 2012.
"Dear Friends, I have made this Fan Page, not because I think I'm worthy of great stardom or a million likes, but because my beautiful mother gets so worried every time I make a status update about another new fight I have taken," Goodlaxson posted on Jan. 4 on her new Facebook fan page. "So, in order to keep my mother and father happy, and without heart attacks, I have created this page! I will be posting fight updates, and whatever else I feel like posting, most likely ;)
Feel free to leave messages and comments and I'll do my best to get back to everyone! *Beep!*"
Goodlaxson is an amateur MMA combatant that fights in the 105-pound division. She currently resides in Warren, Michigan, and fights out of H8 Squad, headed by former KOTC champ and current Bellator fighter Dom O'Grady.
Goodlaxson is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Marketing at Wayne State University's School of Business Administration in Detroit, and she also works as a nanny for a family in Birmingham, Michigan while in college.
Goodlaxson fights Jen Aniano on Jan. 19 in Lansing, Michigan, as part of the TWC: Meanstreak event.
