Anyone who loves college football and lives in Big Ten country knows Michigan and Ohio State don’t like each other. Actually to say they don't like each other is an understatement.
According to an USA Today article on Sept. 1, Michigan may have been playing Central Michigan in their opener on Aug. 31, but the U-M band already had Ohio State on their mind! The two teams don't meet until Nov. 30, but the Michigan band wanted to let their neighbors to the South know that they can't wait.
During the band’s halftime performance Saturday, Michigan students formed a script “OHNO,” mocking Ohio State’s signature script “OHIO.”
Sounds petty, right?
Well in this rivalry its not!
Just last week it was reported that OSU head coach Urban Meyer banned the color blue from their practices. Literally, if you have any type of blue clothing on, you will be asked to change or leave - no matter who you are. Some reporters find Meyer's new 'color rule' to be a bit too much.
According to newsnet5.com, one scout reportedly called it embarrassing, while another told Fox Sports Ohio: "It's just not something that needed to happen. It could have been handled much better, and if that rule is going to be enforced, they could let us know."
Even the NFL scouts were asked to change if they had "Michigan Blue" clothing on.
The build-up for the 2013 is growing.
