The Michigan Wolverines have landed the No. 4 seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament, which tips off on Tuesday. The Wolverines learned on Sunday night of their seeding, which will allow them to play close to home as they take on the region's No. 13-seeded South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Thursday at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Maize and Blue finished the season at 26-7 overall and 12-6 in Big Ten competition, while the Jackrabbits compiled a 25-9 overall mark and 13-3 record in Summit League play. The matchup will feature two of the nation's top point guards, Trey Burke of U-M and Nate Wolters of SDSU.

Joining U-M at the Palace will be Big Ten archrival Michigan State, seeded No. 3 in the Midwest Region, and which will play Valparaiso at 12:15 p.m. ET on Thursday. The start time for Michigan's game versus South Dakota State is 7:15 p.m. ET. CBS will televise both contests.
