They erected a venue right in the middle of Library street which is one block east of the popular Woodward Ave. The event, hosted by Karen Buscemi of Styleline Magazine, featured a very posh welcome area staffed with some of the most engaging an friendly people assisting guest as they came in. Food and beverages sponsored by some of Detroit’s local proprietors made the anticipation for the main attraction that much better. As the fashion showcase began the mood was set by great music and an attractively decorated stage. The showcase highlighted four of Detroit’s up and coming designers and their very unique style of fashion. Bridget Sullivan was the first designer to showcase her assortment of skirts and dresses that added a n elegant appeal to the ladies modeling. Ivy’s Custom Corsetry was simply amazing and enticing. Everything Alpaca was a fall/winter line that makes the Michigan cold look so exciting. Finally was Chrysalis Fashions, showcasing beautiful shimmering dresses that dazzled everyone in attendance. Once the showcase was complete, the Fash Fest stage area transformed into a beautiful reception area that included delicious refreshments. This was definitely an experience to look forward to next year.
