Baptists across Michigan will gather in Saginaw this summer for the 2012 state convention.

Preparing for a state convention is often an exciting time. Members often anticipate making new friends and deepening their faith. The state convention brings together various Baptist churchgoers to celebrate, worship, and grow in the Word.

Quite often church groups conduct fund raisers to afford conventions. This helps cover the cost of hotels, conference fees, food, and transportation. Therefore, planning ahead for conventions is important. Making reservations early also helps.

The Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention will convene from July 30 through August 3, 2012. It features a week full of events, including a Monday night musical, and sectionals for Woman's Auxiliary, Layman's ministry, and a Young People's Department.

The event takes place at the Wolverine State Baptist Headquarters, 615 S. Jefferson St., Saginaw, Michigan. For more information, contact Rev. Dr. Henry L. Fuller, Jr., at (810) 787-2563.
