The 84th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon brought out the nominated ladies to Beverly Hills. Michelle Williams, Rooney Mara, and Meryl Streep all came ready for their photos as part of the event. A time honored tradition, the award show invited the stars out for a luncheon on Monday to honor each individual for their nomination. Where there will be only one winner from each catagory at the Oscars, the stars have the chance to mingle with each other prior to the show to become more acquainted with each other as well as the process of the show.
Watching all the leading ladies nominated for the show and the women with supporting actress nominations, there isn’t any doubt the red carpet was a powerhouse. Looking stunning, yet divinely unique each of the women at the ceremony had their own flair for fashion. While Meryl Streep and Octavia Spencer kept the gowns all black, Michelle Williams splashed white and Rooney Mara used both black and white to show off her style. With a vivid outfit Glenn Close seemed to stand out with her fashion while Viola Davis and Melissa McCarthy choose solid colored gowns.
Definitely not as formal as the Academy Awards, the luncheon was hosted to have the entertainers come together in a small group and be individually acknowledged away from the thousands of people who will be watching in two weeks.
