Destiny’s Child group member Michelle Williams says there is no reunion in the works for Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime performance, People.com is reporting.
The singer told WRUG Media on Jan. 28, “I'm going to be in the musical “Fela!" She continued, "I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true."
Williams is headlining a world tour of the Tony Award-winning show which begins on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. The show's website says there are two “Fela!” productions on Super Bowl Sunday but Williams is not appearing on that day.
“I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." Williams said about the speculation around the halftime show."But we did record a song with each other before the holidays."
The singer says a reunion outside of the studio may still happen, "We have talked about it," she said. "You know, one day soon."
Destiny’s Child did reunite for their first album in eight years “Love Songs,” a compilation of their most popular romantic hits, which features a new song “Nuclear”. The album is available on Jan. 29.
