Michelle Shocked slur: Anti-gay comment shocks fans, has shows canceled

A Michelle Shocked slur has become a top trending term on major search engines this afternoon, as the Washington Post reported this Tuesday, March 19, that the talented alternative rock and folk singer has had a few upcoming shows canceled this week after she made a surprising anti-gay slur at her recent concert in San Francisco.

Under the headline, “Singer Michelle Shocked slur against gays at San Francisco concert; has other shows cancelled”, sources report that the Director of Marketing, Lisa Bautista, recently announced Shocked had only just started her second set this Sunday after making comments that mentioned the anti-gay slur.

The venue quickly put her microphone on mute, dimmed the lights, and quickly stated that the concert was over. Bautista later added that fans in the audience had asked Michelle Shocked to quit the show and left.

The Michelle Shocked slur may have had more lasting effects for the folk and rock singer as well, as the report concluded that at least four of her upcoming shows have been recently canceled.
