Michelle Obama wears blue dress by Reed Krakoff for swearing in ceremony (Video)

President Barack Obama was officially sworn in Sunday for his second term as president of the United States in a low key ceremony at the White House. Michelle Obama (who debuted a sleek new hair style with bangs on twitter last week) looked regal in a dark blue dress by American designer Reed Krakoff and a blue shrug, matching President's dark blue suit. Michelle Obama's impeccable style has been in the spotlight during President's first term and her panache for mixing designer labels bargain pieces is loved by fashion world and general public alike.

The Obama family seemed to prefer the color blue for the swearing in ceremony as the eldest Obama daughter also wore a blue tunic dress with long black sleeves. Her younger sibling wore a pretty purple mauve dress with a beautiful belt in metallic color. Mrs Obama held the family Bible upon which Obama laid his hand to swear the oath. According to inaugural officials, the Bible was a gift from Mrs. Obama’s father to his mother in 1958. The President embraced his family after the oath, telling her daughters 'I did it!'

Sunday's official swearing-in, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, was the 57th inauguration of a president in American history.
