Michelle Obama's new look: FLOTUS gets bangs for Inauguration Day 2013 (Photo)

Michelle Obama's new look is trending this week, but it isn't just the First Lady's bangin' new hairstyle that's getting all the buzz! With the FLOTUS celebrating her 49th birthday on Thursday, a brand new Twitter account to her name and Inauguration Day 2013 just around the corner, it's a natural time for Mrs. Barack Obama to be at the forefront of national conversation.

Check out a new photo of Michelle's bangs here and tell us what you think: Did Michelle Obama make the right choice, or will you be waiting for them to grow out?

Michelle's Bangs: FLOTUS Gets New Look As Inaugural Prep Ramps Up

Michelle Obama's new look can basically be summed up in one word: bangs! The FLOTUS opted for the flattering, face-framing fringe just days before she will stand at her husband's side, no doubt dressed in something fabulous and with her two gorgeous daughters beside her, and watch as he is sworn in as President of the United States for the second and final time.

Of course, Michelle Obama will look radiant regardless of what she chooses to wear; her smile will likely be the only fashion statement anyone will be paying attention to, and Michelle's bangs will only add to the charm factor.

Inauguration Day 2013 officially falls on Sunday (Jan. 20), but all of the pomp and circumstance will be observed on Monday, Jan. 21. The official swearing-in ceremony and Inaugural Address will take place starting at 11:30 a.m. EST, followed by a luncheon (closed to the public) and the Inaugural Parade, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Pennsylvania Ave. NW.

Nearly 800,000 people are expected to turn out at the National Mall to observe the open-to-the-public aspects of Monday. (Fun fact: reports indicate there will only be about 1,500 port-a-potties provided; let's hope that is a highly conservative estimate!)

Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce are scheduled to perform patriotic songs, with Beyonce given the honor of singing the National Anthem. Two Inaugural Balls will be held at the Washington Convention Center on Monday evening, with one given specifically to honor military service-members and their families.

Michelle Obama's new look is emblematic of her overall FLOTUS style thus far: forty-but-flirty, age-appropriate but fun, approachable but strong-willed. With a known penchant for designer labels from Alexander McQueen to Zac Posen (A to Z!), it's anybody's guess as to what Michelle Obama will wear on Inauguration Day 2013.
