Michelle Obama says a mid-life crisis is the reason behind her new hairstyle. The First Lady made a splash when she debuted her new bangs during inauguration time, ABC News reported on Feb. 18.
“This is my mid-life crisis, the bangs,” the First Lady, 49, told Rachel Ray on her cooking/talk show. “I couldn't get a sports car. They won’t let me bungee jump. So instead, I cut my bangs,” Mrs. Obama joked.
Michelle Obama’s “mid-life crisis” is working for her. Not only were her bangs a big hit, but the hairstyle was copied by many women around the country.
Mrs. Obama has become a fashion icon much like former First Lady, Jackie Kennedy. Women around the globe are interested in what she’s wearing, and how they can mimic her classy, but casual style.
