Announced on Google’s blog today, First Lady Michelle Obama will be hosting a Google Plus hangout. On Mar. 4, she will be holding her Fireside Hangout to talk about Let’s Move!. Let’s Move! is Michelle Obama’s initiative to make sure all our children grow up healthy and reach their full potential. Kelly Ripa, Emmy award-winning co-host of “LIVE with Kelly and Michael,” will be joining the First Lady in this Google Plus hangout.
About three years ago, Michelle Obama created the Let’s Move! initiative. Her goal with this program is to unite the country around our children’s health. In addition, it is to create a real support for families to live a healthier lifestyle. For 2013, the First Lady is turning to social media to celebrate the anniversary of Let’s Move! and to bring together the communities on Google Plus who are passionate about eating healthy, exercising and parenting.
The First Lady Michelle Obama is encouraging social media users to express their thoughts and questions on raising a healthier family on their Let’s Move! YouTube channel. One can submit a video or text entry (video is preferred). In the video, explain a little about oneself, what one does with their family to stay healthy and a question for the First Lady. Submit questions by Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.
