First Lady Michelle Obama surprised viewers last night, February 24, 2013, when she joined actor Jack Nicholson at the 2013 Oscars, view satellite, and announced the Best Film award.

Actor Jack Nicholson came out in the final scenes of the live Oscars transmission to announce the Best Film award and all of a sudden, he announced that First Lady Michelle Obama would have the honor to make that announcement.

Surrounded by military personnel in ceremonial garb, FLOTUS (First Lady of the United States) wore a silver beaded square necked gown by designer Naeem Khan.

Mrs. Obama had also been enjoying the 2013 Governor’s Dinner in the State Dining Room at the White House in Washington, DC last night and was dressed for the occasion as well as being red carpet-ready for the Oscars!

Michelle is also sporting her new bangs she got for her forty-ninth birthday, which was on January 17. Michelle Obama was also born in 1964, the Chinese Year of the Dragon! She is in good company…

That Best Picture Oscar went to film Argo, directed and produced by Ben Affleck, who also starred in it as the character, “Tony Mendez,” the author of the book on which the film is based.
