Michelle Obama dons Reed Krakoff for Barack’s swearing in (Photos)

U.S. President Barack Obama was officially sworn in and took the oath of office by Chief Justice John Roberts in the Blue Room of the White House during the nation’s 57th Presidential Inauguration on January 20, 2013 in Washington, D.C.

For his swearing in, President Obama donned a deep blue suit, crisp white shirt, a blue and white striped tie and black loafers.

As part of the swearing in ceremony for his second term in office, President Barack raised his right hand and placed his left hand on the bible that wife Michelle held in her hands, while daughters Malia and Sasha looked on proudly.

FLOTUS (First Lady of the United States) Michelle Obama chose a knee-length dark blue dress by Reed Krakoff from his own eponymous line, which he launched back in 2010. The designer dress features a high neckline and a slightly flared skirt and was teamed with a matching three-quarter sleeve cropped jacket.

Black patent leather pumps completed the outfit. Michelle Obama also seems to have gotten a refreshingly shorter update on her hairstyle.

Daughter Malia was attired in a royal blue dress, teamed with a black long-sleeved top, black tights and black flats.

Sister Sasha chose a purple sleeveless dress, teamed with a thick gold belt, black tights and gold flats.

President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were officially sworn in one day before the ceremonial inaugural swearing-in which will take place tomorrow January 21, 2013.
