Michelle Obama chooses Thom Browne & J. Crew for 2013 inauguration outfit (Photos)

The First Lady of United States Michelle Obama chose a Thom Browne coat and dress for President Barack Obama's second inauguration today.

Spotting a new haircut with bangs, the first lady’s coat was navy blue and the fabric was inspired by man's silk tie, according to the first lady's office. She also wore a belt and shoes from J. Crew to the church service in the morning but wore boots by Reed Krakoff to the parade in the afternoon as well as a necklace designed by Cathy Waterman.

According to the first lady’s office at the end of the inaugural festivities, the outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives.

First daughters Malia and Sasha Obama were also stylish. Older daughter Malia, 14, was wearing a fuchsia J. Crew coat and younger daughter Sasha, 11, was wearing a periwinkle Kate Spade coat and dress.

What do you guys think of Michelle’s outfit, was it a fashion hit or a miss?
