Michelle Lewis sings with a poignancy few artists can match. Her earnest delivery and addictively intimate vocals often tenderly depict a struggle to come to terms with the heart’s most fervent desires. Sometimes the emotional turbulence calms with the welcomed serenity that falling in love offers, but other times it ends with the crushing realization that the heart can’t always have what the heart wants. In either case, Michelle’s impassioned performance is never less than absolutely absorbing.

Tonight, Friday, May 2, Michelle is celebrating the release of The Parts Of Us That Still Remain with her Official Album Release Party at Davis Square Theater in Somerville, MA. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is a full band show with Eva Walsh on fiddle/background vocals, Steve Sadler on guitar/accordion, Greg Loughman on bass, and Dave Mattacks on drums. Bethel Steele opens. The event is 21+ and tickets are just $15.

Following the show, Michelle will embark on a national tour, traversing the entire country from New York City to Hollywood, California. Seeing Michelle live is an experience you’ll document in your emotional scrapbook; her touching, engaging performance will leave its lasting mark.

Recently, Michelle was featured in the Five Days X Five Ways fashion blog. [You can view the behind the scenes video, here.] Additionally, her single “Run Run Run,” was used to raise money for One Fund (formed by Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Thomas M. Menino with the purpose of helping those most affected by the tragic Boston Marathon bombings). There is also a beautiful video Lewis made to accompany the song.
