Michell Knight will appear on "Dr. Phil" Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Wednesday, Nov. 6 to share her experience as one of kidnap victims held in captivity for 11 years in Cleveland. She was one of three women held as Ariel Castro's abused victims. The other two women were Gina DeJesus and Amanda Berry. They were all freed on May 6 after Berry managed to break through a screen door and yell to a neighbor for help.
CBS News reports Nov. 4 that Knight, 32, will open up to Dr. Phil about the squalor conditions of the house she and the women were kept in. The physical and sexual abuse Knight suffered was extreme because she was singled out by Ariel Castro as the one he most disliked in the house.
Knight opens up about being "tied up like a fish" and spending weeks chained and tortured in the basement. She told Dr. Phil that her mouth was taped shut with duct tape because Castro feared she would yell out for help.
Knight suffered multiple miscarriages at the hands of Castro. He would repeatedly starve and beat her until she miscarried.
Castro was charged with more than 900 counts of kidnapping, torture and rape. He was given a life sentence, but was found dead in his prison cell Sept. 3.
Watch Michelle Knight on "Dr. Phil" Tuesday and Wednesday on CBS at 3 p.m. Viewers in Portland, Ore. can watch the show on KOIN 6.
