Michelle Knight and Dr. Phil sat down for what should be two very powerful shows airing this week on television. Knight, who was the first of three women kidnapped and held captive by Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro, opens up about some of the horrors she endured. Yahoo! News shared some of the details on Nov. 4.
Knight was kidnapped in 2003 and held until last spring when Amanda Berry managed to get the attention of neighbors who then rescued the women and Berry's 6-year-old daughter. Michelle Knight's "Dr. Phil" appearance will be the first time she has sat down to talk in-depth about what happened during those years she was held captive by Ariel Castro. In a clip released ahead of Tuesday and Wednesday's “Dr. Phil” shows, Knight describes how Castro “tied me up like a fish, an ornament on the wall.”
Michelle testified at Ariel Castro's sentencing, the only one of the three women held captive to do so. Castro pleaded guilty to nearly 1,000 counts related to the horrific kidnappings, and he killed himself a short time after his sentencing. Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus have held off thus far on doing any interviews. Both are working on writing books about their experiences.
Michelle Knight's “Dr. Phil” interview airs Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Wednesday, Nov. 6.
