Michelle Duggar on bulimia: Mother of 19 suffered disorder before marrying

Michelle Duggar admitted she suffered with bulimia when she was a teen. This was a hard tale for the star of "19 Kids and Counting" to tell her future husband Jim Bob when she met him at the age of 16. But, according to People via the Daily Mail on Feb. 26, she did and a certain freedom came with that difficult discussion. A year later, Michelle and Jim Bob married.

But that was a long time ago.

On Wed., the 47-year-old mom of 19 talked about how she shared her struggle with bulimia while speaking to others who are dear to Michelle Duggar, including her daughters.

She did this because the oldest females in the Duggar tribe were writing a book called "Growing Up Duggar" about their lives in front of camera on "19 Kids & Counting" as well as other aspects of their lives.

Michelle Duggar admitted that her trouble with constant throwing up started when she was only 14. This mom of so many said, "I didn't tell any of my friends what I was going through. I was doing it sometimes on a daily basis, or sometimes I would go a week."

The Michelle Duggar added, "I felt this was the answer to my problems," which she apparently found and which is talked about in "Growing Up Duggar," due in stores on March 4.
