Last night's 2014 Golden Globe Awards brought a cast of glam sophistication from new and old school fashion designers alike. Two young actresses scored fresh, modern updates of shiny sparkly designs from Oscar de la Renta, who is traditionally associated with presidential inaugural gowns and ladies-who-lunch power suits.
Michelle Dockery looked positively beaming in a strapless, floral lace, gold sequin gown that exposed her pointy gold tone heels. She certainly looked the happy, modern, Red Carpet goer and not the grieving widow portrayed by her Lady Mary character on Downton Abbey.
New Girl's Zooey Deschanel stayed true to herself with a retro, vintage inspired two piece that could also pass off as a bridal gown. Don't be surprised if 2014 brides-to-be steal her style for their own wedding dresses! This is such a unique design with intricate beading, a sequined crisscross top and floor length, sequined ivory tulle with a raised hemline that exposes crisscross sequined heels. She accessorized with a flower on the side of her hair, floral drop earrings and a daisy manicure.
