In a new ad released Friday, September 16, Michele Bachmann is seen referring to her criticisms of Rick Perry's executive order to mandate, with an option for parents to opt out, a vaccination for young girls attending Texas schools - as "PerryCare", saying ""Whether its ObamaCare or whether its PerryCare, I oppose any governor or president who mandates a family's health care choices."
In the video ad, available on the left side bar, Bachmann chose to lead with an explanation of "Crony Capitalism," a term she explains as"Someone in a position of power, who does special favors for people who've given political donations to their candidate."
Even though it has been well publicized that the mandate in Texas, never signed into law, allowed for parents to opt their daughters out of receiving this vaccination and even though Michelle was tossed in some hot waters for comments she made following the last GOP TEA Party debate, and even though many the medical society are backing Perry in saying this vaccine saves lifes, this latest ad proves Michelle is not ready to back off the subject. Controversy continues to surround the vaccine, some parents believing it's a license for young girls to have sex and others concerned about side-effects.
In Texas, Perry's opponent for governor pulled back on attacking Perry on the vaccine. See Kay Bailey's ad that was never aired.
