In an interview published today in the preferred website for psychotic right-wing conspiracy theorists, WorldNetDaily, Congress's #1 conspiracy theory enthusiast, Michele Bachmann, likened President Obama to a crack dealer, accusing him of trying to "get Americans addicted to the crack cocaine of dependency on more government health care."
"Because, once they enroll millions of more individual Americans, it will be virtually impossible for us to pull these benefits back from people," said Bachmann.
"All they want to do is buy love from people by giving them massive government subsidies."
Bachmann, who has been instrumental in the House's landmark 40+ attempts to have the Affordable Care Act repealed, charged that they are "making it up as they go along," and Bachmann predicted disaster if Obamacare is not blocked again because, "They're trying to fly a plane they haven't even built yet."
Previously, Bachmann had charged that the Obamacare package would be denied to conservatives and included "death panels," among many other claims which were all demonstrably false. So it should have come as no surprise when Bachmann also tried tried to link the health insurance exchanges to supposed ACORN-esque voter fraud, telling WND that navigators "will be getting something like $59 a head for the people that they sign up.
"ACORN did that," said Bachmann. "ACORN signed up Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse," just making up names, "so people could make money. It was meant to be a scam."
It was a scam intended to be played on ACORN and identified by ACORN, though this fact did nothing to stop House Republicans from trying to punish the group for the much more unpardonable offense of showing poor people how to vote.
Fittingly enough, Bachmann capped off her interview with the people of crazy-town by pledging "Whatever we can do to relieve the suffering of this economy and the American people." Which is precisely the opposite of what she and her colleagues have done by attaching an Obamacare repeal or delay for the third time.
