Michele Bachmann: Obama "has rewritten the Constitution for himself"

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has once again demonstrated that, despite having served in the United States House of Representatives, she still either does not know, or does not care, how the government actually works.

In a Tuesday interview with Fox News, Bachmann claimed that Obama "has rewritten the Constitution for himself."

Specifically, Bachmann took issue with Obama's delay of certain provisions of the Affordable Care Act, which she declared were "clearly unconstitutional."

"You're not a king, you're not a dictator, you can't do whatever you want," she asserted. "Our Constitution limits the president's power, even though President Obama doesn’t act that way."

Bachmann has apparently willed herself to forgotten that the Affordable Care Act was not made law by a single presidential mandate. It was approved by both Congress and the Senate, and since then was upheld as constitutional by the Supreme Court.

Bachmann, meanwhile, has not only attempted to have the ACA repealed over forty times, but has vowed that she will vote "no" on any and all legislation until the ACA is repealed (the political equivalent of threatening to hold her breath until her parents buy her the candy).

Lecturing Obama that he is "not a king" would have been dumb enough, but coming from someone who has behaved in Congress like a spoiled princess, it's maddening.
