Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, a collaboration between the estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil, will perform at the Cedar Park Center (Austin, Texas) on August 5 and 6. Since its premiere in Montreal, Canada in October 2011, this musical production has thrilled audiences throughout the world. It’s a show you’ll enjoy whether you’re a lifelong fan or experiencing Michael’s creative genius for the first time.

“It starts with the music,” says director Jamie King. “The show is a journey into Michael’s head—a theatrical reflection of Michael’s energy and spirit. Our hope is that audiences will be inspired and excited by this production that celebrates Michael’s life,” King adds.

The Immortal World Tour features 49 international dancers, musicians, and acrobats performing amazing feats of athleticism in a rock concert format that combines the excitement and innovation of Michael Jackson’s music and choreography with Cirque du Soleil’s spectacular creativity.

Based on Michael Jackson’s powerful, inspirational music and lyrics, The Immortal World Tour is one of the top 10 grossing music tours of all time. Through unforgettable performances, the show underscores Michael’s universal messages of love, peace and unity. In fact, the band includes some of the same artists who previously worked with Michael on his world tours. The music engages the audience and encourages them to sing along, or even get up on their feet as the mood and energy envelope them.

The show captures the essence, soul and inspiration of the King of Pop and celebrates a legacy that continues to transcend generations. “We hope the show will encourage people to learn more about Michael,” King says.

The world tour of this tribute show closes after performances at the last four cities: Cedar Park and Houston, Texas and Mexico City and Guadalajara, Mexico. Tickets for the Austin performances are available online or at 800-745-3000. Tickets range from $50 to $175 each.
