Michael Strahan, Hall of Fame footballer and co-host of "Live! With Kelly and Michael", just inked a deal to be part of "Good Morning America". Following the sudden departure of Josh Elliot from the now almost female-only GMA lineup, ABC didn't fail to fill the male sports void with Michael Strahan.
As for whether he'll leave Kelly and their Live! show, Michael said this morning, " I don't know," adding, "This is what I do. This is me. This is my home. No matter what. I go nowhere. This is my love. You are my love. This is my job. So don't worry, anybody, I'm not going anywhere," according to USA Today on Tuesday, April, 2.
Sources are confirming to Entertainment Weekly that Strahan will continue to sidekick Kelly Ripa, and contribute to GMA‘s broadcast prior to reporting for his duties at Live!, where he has co-hosted since 2012.
Additionally, Strahan's stint on GMA is not expected to alter their new lineup of Robin Robers, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Ginger Zee, and Elliot's replacement Amy Robach.
However, some insiders are frothing at the mouth, wondering whether this is a signal that Strahan is about to jump ship and ditch Kelly.
Strahan said on the show this morning that Kelly is his, "No. 1 priority", and that he'd never jeopardize their show.
Maybe he's just being brought in to fill that gap!
