Michael Strahan officially joined Kelly Ripa as the new co-host of the aptly renamed "Live! With Kelly and Michael." The 40-year-old athlete was chosen from many possible hosts including Neil Patrick Harris and Seth Rogen, according to People. His new job has people wondering about his personal life and whether he has a girlfriend. He does.
Michael Strahan has been married and divorced twice. His ex-wives are Jean Muggli and Wanda Hutchins Strahan. Girlfriends have included Stefani Vara and Nicole Mitchell Murphy, the tall drink of water who co-stars on "Hollywood Exes" and was once married to comedian Eddie Murphy. Despite their on-again/off-again relationship, Strahan and Murphy are currently engaged.
The new era of the long-running show began on Tue., Aug. 4, 2012. Rumors that the coveted position would be given to the New York Giants defensive end began immediately after the show announced that they had finally found their replacement for retired host Regis Philbin. In this case, the rumors were true.
The former football player was very gracious as he took the stage with the veteran host of the show. He told her, "I adore you and I am so happy to be here and be a part of this. You know how they say it's a dream come true? I truly can't say that because I didn't even know I could dream this." Strahan was a perfect gentleman as he pulled out her chair for her then took his rightful place by her side.
