Michael Strahan is joining "GMA" following a number of changes happening on the popular morning news show. Strahan will continue his duties as normal on "Live with Kelly and Michael." This will keep the new "Good Morning America" addition quite busy pulling double duty. According to a report published by Entertainment Weekly April 1, Strahan will appear on the "GMA's" top hour segment. His role there won't have any impact on the rest of the cast that includes George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer, Amy Robach, and Ginger Zee.
Other changes announced this week regarding "Good Morning America" besides Michael Strahan joining the cast, is Josh Elliott's departure. He left a lucrative contract worth nearly $5 million to sign on with NBC Sports. Amy Robach will replace Josh as the news anchor.
As one report noted, Michael Strahan will help even out the male cast members on the "GMA" with George Stephanopoulos.
"Good Morning America" has had immense success being the number one morning news show a long time now. Will it remain at the top with all of the changes?
