Michael Strahan is joining "Good Morning America" according to TMZ. The news was confirmed on April 1 -- Strahan will be replacing Josh Elliot, who recently announced his departure from the show. Strahan will be on "GMA" during the 8:00 a.m. hour where he will discuss everything from sports to lifestyle.

"'GMA' is in trouble ... Josh Elliott's departure for NBC Sunday was bitter. Sam Champion is gone. Lara Spencer and Amy Robach hate each other," TMZ reports. Could this morning television program be on the brink of disaster? Will Michael Strahan be a good addition to their morning panel?

Michael Strahan is not leaving "Live!" on NBC -- at least not yet. One has to imagine that he would move to "Good Morning America" full time if he was a good fit (and he'd have to wait until his "Live!" contract was up) but it sounds like a possibility -- a good possibility -- especially if he is offered a nice deal.

With so many changes on "GMA" it's hard to imagine how things are going to go moving forward. However, Strahan has a lot of fans and his personality might work really well with the other co-hosts. The only other male on the show is George Stephanopoulos -- so the addition of another guy really is key.

Is Michael Strahan a good fit for "Good Morning America"? Do you think he will end up doing the show full time and leaving "Live!"?
