Even though it may seem like an April Fool’s joke, rumor has it that Michael Strahan is getting a new job. CNN has reported on April 1 that the co-host of “Live with Kelly and Michael” is in talks to join ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Nothing is official yet but an announcement may be coming very soon.

Supposedly, ABC has been in talks with Strahan for months now. With Josh Elliott unexpectedly making his exit from the morning show this week, it leaves the show with only one male presence on the “GMA” crew, George Stephanopoulos. Don’t worry, the former Giants defensive end is apparently not leaving his regular gig with Kelly Ripa. He will be hopping back and forth between both shows. He is expected to begin his day at 7 a.m. on “GMA” doing various early segments and then hustling over to his seat next to Ripa at 9 a.m.

Sources said that he is not replacing anyone on the show but is serving as an addition to an almost all female crew. All jokes aside, if this is true, ABC will be making it official very soon.

Do you think Michael Strahan will make a good addition to “Good Morning America?”
