Michael Stipe to induct Nirvana and other Rock and Roll Hall of Fame details rev

It has been announced that REM's Michael Stipe will induct Nirvana at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There's still no word whether the surviving members will perform together. More details about the ceremony have also been revealed. KISS will be inducted by Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and Bruce Springsteen will induct the E Street Band. There are also a number of tributes lined up. Questlove of the Roots will pay tribute to Hall and Oates, Coldplay's Chris Martin will do a tribute to Peter Gabriel and Stevie Nicks, Carrie Underwood, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, and Bonnie Raitt will all pay tribute to Linda Ronstadt. The ceremony will take place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on April 10. An edited version will air on HBO on May 31.

In other Nirvana news, there was some controversy over original drummer Chad Channing on the possibility of getting inducted with the rest of the band. He has since clarified that he will not be inducted with his bandmates.
