Rock fans know who Michael Schenker is, for the rest of the world, he is a former guitarist with the Scorpions and UFO. His also has an accomplished solo career spanning four decades. He is coming to Bucks County on January 27. The Sellersville Theatre. "First of all, I have a new album out called Bridge the Gap. It features Doogie White on vocals. I am doing a few shows in the (United) States to introduce Doogie White, and to promote the new album", said Schenker.

The short tour has some local gigs like New York and Englewood NJ. Go to his website to see for yourself where he is playing. On this site you can also get information on his VIP package which will allow you to meet Michael and get an autograph. The Sellersville gig is just about sold out. Which is not surprising. Still, you can go to The Sellersville Theater's website to buy tickets or get put on a waiting list.

The new album features Francis Bucholz on bass, drummer Herman Rarebell . Both these guys worked with Schenker from his days with the Scorpions . Wayne Findley is on Keyboards. The show at the Sellersville Theater will not feature these musicians, yet. "We were not ready for the album line-up world tour, so I took Doogie over here to promote the album and let people know that we will be back with the album line up ", said Schenker.

Michael Schenker does not tour that often around here. When I likened him to a comet, he laughed. "That's a good way to describe it, we all have our orbit " So to those fans lucky enough to see Comet Schenker this tour are hoping to hear classic songs such as "On and On", and "Armed and Ready", along with a few tracks from the new record. Schenker said "I have been doing this so long and I have so many songs to choose from., we can always change the set around. We are coming back . This is just a teaser . when I come back , I will be bringing Herman and Francis and we will play songs I was never able to play over here", Schenker said.

The last time Schenker played with his friends from the Scorpions was back in the late 1970's. There has been such a long time in between, "I called the new record Bridge the Gap", he said. Those rock fans that like bone crushing death metal should stay far away from this one. It is melodic, with orchestration and just plain good music. It is available as a download, or CD. Oh yeah, it's is also available as a record. You can order from Amazon or check your local record store.

If you are local to the Philly area, you should contact the Sellersville Theater and get put on a waiting list, should this be sold out, then go to the show anyway, as you may be able to score a ticket on the day of show.
