Cleveland OH - The record breaking temperatures did not stop the fans . Michael Schenker , the legendary guitarist of such major groups as UFO and The Scorpions along with MSG ( Michael Schenker Group ) drew crowds from all over the region for a night of good times and great music at the world famous Agora Ballroom . I spoke with fans from Erie, Pennsylvania which is about 90 minutes from Cleveland and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is two hours from Cleveland and an gentleman that was visiting the US from the UK and decided to come to the show .The Pittsburgh fans even went so far as to catch him in Las Vegas a little over two weeks ago . There has to be some magic in your music if you can keep and hold onto fans for well over 30 years .In support of his latest release “ Bridge The Gap “ Michael was joined on stage by a group of equally talented musicians as well .The band comprised of Doogie White -singer , Wayne Findlay-guitarist /keyboardist , as well as bassist Rev Jones and drummer Pete Holmes .The set was long but it moved quick with such great songs as “ Armed and Dangerous “ and “ Neptune Rising “ one of his new songs . “ Where The Wild Wind Blows “ is one of my favorites as well and they did a great job of it . Other hits in no particular order were “ Cry For The Nations “ , “Love Drive , Sleeping Dogs ,Rock My Nights , Arena “ and many more . The tour is continuing with more dates so I don’t want to giveaway all of the set list .On a personal note it was great to see the Agora being restored to its former glory by the hard work and dedication of partners Hank LaConti and Chris Zitterbart to keep a non corporate music venue alive here in Cleveland . Michael Schenker is without a doubt a living legend on the guitar and a great song writer as well .If you are into just great Rock N Roll music this was the place to be last night . Michael had two great opening bands as well . Local band The Rick Ray Band and support band Gundriver who I place on watch list as one of the break out bands of 2014 . This was a great show and it gets five out of five stars . To keep up with all things Michael Schenker check out his official website at and tell him we sent you !
