Michael’s on Main food and wine pairing dinners for Feb. and March

Please join Michael and staff every Tuesday night when wineries and breweries pair their fabulous selections to complement authentic themed menus. Live music adds ambiance to the evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. $25/person - gratuity not included

Feb. 11 Come to the Caribbean for jerk everything - Jamaican Jerk-Spiced Pork & Chicken, Cooked Greens, Tropical Pineapple Salad, Fried Plantains and Caribbean Bread Pudding as well as Alfaro Family Estate Chardonnay, Old Vine Wine Company Zinfandel, Windy Oaks Terran Narro, Windy Oaks Pinot Gris and Gruet Rose Sparkling Wine. Enjoy David O’Connor on guitar.

Michael’s Feb. 14 Valentine Day menu tempts with Santa Cruz wines available for purchase.

Feb. 18 South of the Border - Carnitas, Carne Asada and other favorite regional specialties. Taste Epic wines from Los Vascos Winery with Kevin McDowell on guitar.

Feb. 25 Southern Italy is a favorite theme because it includes amazingly tasty dishes with tomato, peppers and eggplant. Pizza Margarita was created in Naples! Begin with tuna marinated with caper and anchovy sauce on a bed of greens and continue the culinary tour with Eggplant Parmigiana, Spaghetti Carbonara and of course, pizza. For dessert, be treated to ricotta cheesecake. Neighbor Bargetto Winery will pour award winning wines and Lisa Marie serenades diners.

March 4 Fat Tuesday wouldn’t be the same without colorful beads and of course, Gumbo, Jambalaya and dirty rice. Epic will pour Eos Wines to accompany this amazing feast and Scott Slaughter will take diners to musical New Orleans.

March 11 BBQ Michael makes his famous brisket, pulled pork and more from the BBQ. David O’Connor will accompany on guitar and James Heineman from Renwood Winery will pour his fabulous wines.

March 18 Tapas from Spain What’s more fun than trying a bite of Pinxtos of all varieties accompanied by Spanish wines Vina Alarba Garnache, Quo Rose, Orballo Albarino and Callejo Tempranillo? Kevin McDowell returns on the guitar.

March 25 Food from the Greek Isles includes Greek style braised lamb shanks, enriched by the wines from Clos la Chance Winery. Music provided by Jay Alvarez.
