Michael Phelps splits from girlfriend Megan Rossee. That's the latest news about the decorated Olympic swimmer and his beautiful girlfriend of nearly one year. Unfortunately for Rossee, Phelps reportedly felt that their relationship "wasn't going anywhere," according to a Dec. 30, 2012 report by TMZ.
Rossee is a 25-year-old aspiring model and cocktail waitress from Los Angeles. The 5'9" blonde was also being pursued by reality star Doug Reinhardt of "The Hills" when she first met Phelps. She and Phelps reportedly began dating in January 2012. Michael Phelps even flew her to London for the Olympics. Now it's over.
Michael Phelps's split from his girlfriend may have come as a surprise to the lovely blond. As recently as Dec. 20, 2012, she was merrily tweeting messages and photos of her athletic beau. A picture of the Olympic swimmer as a child was accompanied by the message, "He's gonna [sic] kill me for this but it's too adorable not to share! m_phelps00 how sweeeet [sic] was your little face."
After the Michael Phelps split, Megan Rossee's tweets took an unexpected turn; "2013 is my b*tch," proclaimed her first tweet of the new year.
