Michael Phelps is in splits-ville. He and girlfriend, Megan Rossee, decided to end their relationship because it "wasn't going anywhere." On Dec. 31, Daily Mail reported that the duo split after dating for about 10 months. While many people believed that things were pretty serious between Phelps and his model girlfriend, things just didn't work out. However, there is speculation that Rossee was only dating Phelps for fame and fortune.
"Her willingness to [publicize] their relationship had led some to speculate that she is only in it for the fame," reports Daily Mail. Rossee was very chatty about her relationship with Phelps, often tweeting photos of her beau -- and retweeting love quotes and what have you.
When Michael Phelps splits with a girlfriend, people seem to really want to know what went wrong. He is one of the most popular Olympic athletes in the world and his personal life has become top news over the past couple of years -- since he competed in the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
Phelps has been spotted with a couple of women over the years and whenever there is a new chick on his arm, the media goes nuts. Never mind the time a photograph of him smoking a bong hit the internet -- the athlete met the ugly side of fame in mere Milli-seconds.
