Michael Pachter was featured in the latest issue of the gaming magazine, GamesTM. As reported by Now Gamer on Jan. 14, The analyst at Wedbush Securities compared the upcoming PS4 and Xbox 720 to the recently-released Nintendo Wii U. He also talked about the problem of the Nintendo Wii U version of the multiplatform title, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” is encountering. You can check out some concept images of the PS4 and Xbox 720 in the slideshow at the top of this article and Michael Pachter’s comments below (courtesy of Now Gamer):

  • When next-gen consoles come out they’re going to be better than the Wii U.
  • Call of Duty is amazing on the Wii U this year. The problem with playing Call of Duty online is it’s a community and if there’s only four people playing it on the Wii U it’s no fun. Nobody in their right mind would buy a Wii U and say ‘I’m going to play Call of Duty’. That’s like saying ‘I gave up Facebook, and it’s Google+ now.’

The PS4 and Xbox 720 are both projected to be released by the end of this year, at least in the North American region.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” was a launch video game for the Nintendo Wii U as it came out for the system on Nov. 18, 2012. The game was also released five days earlier on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on Nov. 13. You can order the title in the following link: “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2”
