During “The Young and the Restless” episode that aired on Tuesday, Jan 28 Muhney, as Adam Newman, and Billy Miller, as Billy Abbott, were at the scene of the accident that took Delia Abbott’s life. Muhney’s acting in the episode was real and raw and some of the most painful to watch in soap history. Whether or not Michael Muhney were exiting the show, fans would still have been brought to tears by his gut wrenching final showdown with Billy Miller, who is also exiting “The Young and the Restless” on Jan. 30.
There are only two more days left and fans, even those that have vowed never to watch “The Young and the Restless” after Muhney’s last airdate, are on the edge of their seats, tissues in hand as the two of the best actors and best characters in the history of “Y&R” battle it out to the bitter end.
Michael Muhney, despite the best efforts of “The Young and the Restless” writing team, will leave the show with a powerful final performance and outstanding body of work over his nearly five years as Adam Newman on “The Young and the Restless.”
