Michael Muhney is back in the news since Soap Opera Digest announced in its June 9 issue that the actor was spotted at CBS studios. This is giving fans hope to see their favorite actor back on "The Young and the Restless" reprising his role as Adam Newman. In a new report released by Celebrity Dirty Laundry on June 2, new rumors have surfaced that another actor may actually take over the role.
The Soap Opera Digest report reveals in the June 9 edition that former "All My Children" actor, Cameron Mathison, has met with "Y&R" about being cast on the popular soap opera.
Nothing is confirmed on this story, but Cameron is being hyped up as a likely choice "Young and the Restless" producers would go with. Does this mean there's no way "Y&R" would reconsider bringing Michael Muhney back? He was fired last December for allegations made by co-star, Hunter King, that he sexually harassed her and touched her inappropriately. The incident amounted to a massive protest by Muhney's fans -- with many even boycotting watching the show unless Michael returned.
As an Inqusitr report pointed out, even if Muhney returned, it wouldn't be the same at the "Y&R" set. It would certainly signal that something about King's accusations being shrugged off. On the other end of the spectrum, Michael might no want his job back after everything that's transpired. No details or updates ever came of the scandal after Muhney's departure.
Is there still a chance Michael Muhney will return to "The Young and the Restless" or is it wishful thinking? Now that Cameron Mathison's name is thrown into the mix, it really keeps fans on their toes!
It looks like Adam Newman will finally make his appearance in the near future as the storyline centers more and more on the character. The question is, who will portray the character?
