Michael Muhney co-wrote and starred in award-winning ‘Act Your Age’

Michael Muhney was abruptly terminated from his role as Adam Newman on “The Young and the Restless” and despite dire warnings, it appears that Muhney may be headed for a successful career in movies.

Though The International Business Times speculated on Feb. 5 that Michael Muhney may be headed to “General Hospital”, Muhney may have a career as a screenwriter instead. Muhney co-wrote and starred in the 2009 movie “Act Your Age”. The movie, produced by Dreamscape Cinema, also stars Adrienne Frantz, formerly Amber Romalotti on “The Young and the Restless”. The film won the Award of Excellence in the Accolade Competition as well as the Audience Award at the Breckenridge Festival of Films.

In “Act Your Age” Muhney portrays out of work actor Lane Emerson with “no respect for the elderly”. When Emerson makes himself into an old man in order to get a part in a play. He then must spend a week at a nursing home in order to research his role. In the process Lake Emerson is forced to review his life choices.

Fans of Michael Muhney can watch “Act Your Age” online at Snag Films and is worth the watch. “Act Your Age” garnered 6.3 stars out of 10 on IMDb and received a grade of A- on the Snag Films website. The film also stars Pat Morita, Eddie Jones and Amber Benson.
