Hollywood filmmaker, Michael Moore, said the NRA is doomed after the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy that took place in Newtown, Conn. Dec. 14. Moore told Huffington Post Live Jan. 25 that the school shooting was the "tipping point" in regards to gun control.
"People did not forget about this over Christmas," Moore said. "In fact, after Christmas when parents started taking their kids back to school and dropping them off in the morning, they couldn't get this out of their heads. That's the thing ... the NRA, they are doomed as a result of this."
Moore said there will always be crazy people because there has been for thousands of years. What he doesn't understand is how our nation still allows them to possess firearms.
"But why are we their enablers? That's the crazy part," Moore added.
The Oscar-winning filmmaker noted that "any sensical person" in the U.S. believes we should be "eliminating as many of these guns and ammunition as possible."
Do you feel the same Michael Moore does about the NRA being doomed since the Sandy Hook shooting? The subject of gun violence is one of President Obama's foremost priorities since 20 young children and six adults were killed in the school. The NRA definitely has a fight on its hands this time.
