Michael Lohan has begun -- or will begin -- paying child support for his love child. You'll recall that DNA results unveiled on "The Trish Goddard Show" proved that Michael Lohan had fathered a daughter with Kristi Horn Kaufmann, a former mistress. Lohan had denied 17-year-old Ashley was his, until then.
On Sunday, TMZ reported that Kristi Horn and Michael Lohan said have come to a private out-of-court settlement out regarding the outstanding child support balance, and that Michael has promised to pay up ASAP.
Horn was asked about a Florida court filing -- one just done, reportedly -- set to enforce a child support judgment Kristi Horn had received back in 2009, and ordering Michael Lohan (he lives in Florida) to pay $316,720 in unpaid support.
She said she had no part in filing the documents, but that they were automatically filed because the court order is still active. She will have the order vacated, she said, but is waiting until after MiLo's fiancee Kate Major gives birth later this month. It's unclear why she is waiting until then or how much Lohan agreed to pay her.
Kristi said she and Michael are on great terms. Not so Ashley and her half-sibling Lindsay Lohan, though. Earlier, LiLo told her friends she wanted nothing to do with Ashley. Of course, Ashley said a similar thing; she didn't want to be associated with the Lohan family train wreck.
In fact, LiLo was surprised when, days after the story broke, she was asked about Ashley (LiLo apparently doesn't read the news, whether it is on her smartphone, tablet, Internet, or the newspapers).
