It's finally time to realize that we can put the winter coats away and enjoy the warmer weather. This also means that designers are beginning to present their Resort 2015 Collections to get us ready for our travels.
A designer dedicated to his many fans and continuing to increase his vast global following is the very talented and creative Michael Kors. Kors has just unveiled his rendition of Resort 2015. While luxurious and chic as always, this collection defines subtle and sweet romanticism through soft flowers and feminine embroideries.
The entire collection is a mixture of Bardot meets Birkin. Flirty ruffles play off the utilitarian parkas, somewhat baggy trousers and interesting trenches. Skirts and dresses come in a variety of lengths to suit all Kors' customers and they give way to shrunken empire shapes. Live for the moment in cozy sweaters and rustic shearlings that are juxtaposed with liquid charmeuse, translucent chiffon and chantilly lace.
Colors are mystical and relaxing. Garden tones of wisteria, oleander, juniper and leaf contrast with sky blue and neutral nude, white, black, sand and olive.
Perhaps the best part of all is dressing up the look with all the feminine accessories. They are as wildly romantic as the clothes themselves. Sandals and clogs convey comfort and an air of informality. Even the boot which is more characteristic of the colder seasons is seen with an outfit or two but with a much lighter look. Crystal and floral accents add timeless beauty to artisanal bags.
Michael Kors always brings celestial creativity on a more personal level with a sixth sense of exactly what his customers desire for the season at hand. Most recently, Kors was showing off his many fashions from a few of the seasons as he walked the Red Carpet this week with Blake Lively for the CFDA Fashion Awards. This is another one of his collections sure to turn some heads.
