It will be out on the shelves this fall and another milestone for the great designer, Michael Kors. On August 21, 2014, 'Young Hollywood' , Kors celebrated the much awaited release of the book filled with glamorous portraits by Claiborne Swanson Frank. The foreward for the book is written by Michael Kors and has been in the making for quite a while.
'Young Hollywood' is the second publication by Frank which follows her first book, American Beauty, published in 2012. Brimming with gorgeous portraits, alongside short texts, transcribed by Genevieve Bahrenberg, in the voices of the women themselves, a foreword by Michael Kors, an introduction by Amy Seimetz, and a Q&A between Lesley M. M. Blume and Swanson Frank discussing the making of the book, 'Young Hollywood' captures the essence and the allure of what it means and what it takes to be a starlet in modern day Hollywood.
Kors and Swanson Frank enjoy collaborating as the team created the original on-going digital initiative known as Kors Collaborator, profiling women with creative talents across the cultural spectrum. In return, Kors decided to reciprocate with this fashionable foreward. Prior to the book’s publication, the Michael Kors brand will feature an exclusive look at the book, engage with Claiborne Swanson Frank online, specifically through a Q&A, debut a short film directed by Tamara Lowe and create an engaging content set in Los Angeles to support the narrative of 'Young Hollywood' on Destination Kors and Michael Kors social media channels. The film, also shot in Los Angeles, will explore Swanson Frank’s vision, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how the photographer created the book while using fashion and beauty to tell a Hollywood story.

'Young Hollywood' will be offered for advance sale in select Michael Kors stores globally this fall, and through Assouline distribution channels beginning in September. Its launch will be celebrated at a private dinner hosted by Michael Kors in Los Angeles.
