Michael Jordan denies he is the father of Pamela Smith’s son Grant Reynolds and has moved to have the paternity case dismissed, according to TMZ on March 4.
The NBA legend allegedly got Smith pregnant in 1995 while he was still married to Juanita.
Jordan’s lawyer has filed to have the case dismissed. The docs claim the paternity of the teen had already been established and Jordan was not the father, says the website.
A representative for Jordan released a statement saying, "Public records show that the paternity of the child was established in a prior case in this same court many years ago and that Michael Jordan is not the father."
"It is unfortunate that well-known figures are the target of these kind of claims. Michael Jordan will vigorously defend himself and his reputation," the rep added.
Smith tells TMZ she and Jordan have maintained a cordial relationship over the years and Jordan has given the family money and gifts here and there, but her son had to keep it a secret.
The woman also says she never planned to file paternity documents with the NBA legend until her 16-year-old son pleaded with her to make Jordan acknowledge him.
