Paternity suit aside, Michael Jordon and longtime love Yvette Prieto were recently spotted at the West Palm Beach courthouse (TMZ, March 7) and it has been confirmed that the couple have applied for a marriage certificate.
MJ and Prieto who have been a couple since 2008 became engaged in 2011. This will be Jordan's second trip down the isle. He married Juanita Vanoy in 1989 and later divorced in 2006. The couple has three children.
The basketball star was also recently named in a paternity suit, however lawyers for MJ said that paternity for the teenage boy had already been established, and MJ is not the father. They are moving to have the case dismissed.
"Public records show that the paternity of the child was established in a prior case in this same court many years ago and that Michael Jordan is not the father."
Pamela Smith, who filed the suit against MJ is hoping to gain child support as well as medical for the teenage child in question.
